Hi, I'm Klara and I'm so excited to launch The Pomegranate today!
I'm an artist in my spare time, living on a boat in east London with my partner and our cat, Budgie. I returned to life drawing about five years ago after a very long break, and remembered how much I love it.
During the pandemic, I grew my network of fellow artists as we faithfully tuned into weekly online drawing sessions and then shared our work on Instagram. In the last year, I've started receiving commissions so I now feel like it's time to create this space in order to sell my work and reach out beyond the Instagram community.
I've been sharing writing and artwork under the name 'The Pomegranate' for many years now. I love the idea of unearthing hidden gems, just like you do when you break open a juicy, cerise pomegranate and find the jewel-like seeds inside. Plus, it's a joyful fruit that always makes me think of travels in the sun.
The Pomegranate is where I'll be sharing artwork which could be yours to take home - keep an eye out as I'll be uploading new works all the time. And if you've got an idea for a commission, just get in touch!
